In the Parapsychology Foundation’s Perspectives Lectures Series, internationally-known authors, scholars and scientists present talks on a wide variety of parapsychological topics, discussing issues in the field with their audiences for an hour and a half on selected weekday evenings.

A Perspectives Lecture has recently been scheduled for Wednesday, July 25th, 2007 at the Foundation’s Eileen J. Garrett Library in Greenport, New York. Irish visual artist Susan Macwilliam will present an illustrated talk called “Explaining Magic to Mercer.” For information on this free-to-the-public lecture, click here.

Speakers for the Perspectives Lecture Series illustrate the richness of our field by the diversity of their chosen topics and their impressive command of their particular areas of expertise. Past speakers have included such luminaries as psychologists Dr. Robert L. Morris, Dr. Rex G. Stanford, Dr. Richard S. Broughton, Dr. Charles T. Tart, Dr. Lawrence LeShan and Dr. William Roll, and best-selling authors Sidney Kirkpatrick, Rosemary Ellen Guiley and Dr. Hans Holzer. Lectures have covered an eclectic mix of topics ranging from emotions and ESP, scientific parapsychology in the 21st-century, remote viewing, psychokinesis, the psychic experiences of children, and synchronicity, to out-of body experiences, ghosts and hauntings, visitation dreams, and healing. The lectures are usually held either in Manhattan or at the Eileen J. Garrett Research Library at 308 Front Streeet in Greenport, Long Island. Click on the button “Map to the Lecture Hall” for directions to the location for the current Perspectives Lecture. Venues are often cosy and intimate with limited seating so reservations are always required.

Videos of selected past lectures may be purchased by those unable to attend. The tapes usually run around 90 minutes. NTSC format tapes (for use in the US and Brazil) cost $15.00 each plus $3.00 for shipping and handling. PAL format tapes (for use in Europe and elsewhere) are $16.00 plus $4.00 for shipping and handling.

If you are interested in buying exhibition licenses for our videos, feel free to drop an email to resale@parapsychology.org for pricing information. (Classroom usage does not require an exhibition license. Members in good standing of our Student Affiliate program may also show our videos as fund-raisers for their local college groups without obtaining an exhibition license.)
