The Charles T. and Judith A. Tart Student Incentive Award

In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Parapsychology Foundation in 2001, the PF created the Charles T. and Judith A. Tart Student Incentive Award for Parapsychological Research. This annual award of $500, made possible through the generosity of Dr. and Mrs. Tart, was earmarked for a student who demonstrates a strong commitment to work within parapsychology. Esteemed parapsychologist, Professor Charles T. Tart, received his first grant in parapsychology from the PF while he was still an undergraduate student at MIT. The first award was given in 2002.

Unfortunately the Tart Award was suspended in 2009 due to the economic downturn. This Award is among the PF’s scholarly and student funding initiatives that will be reviewed in 2016 for possible future funding.

The 2008 recipient of the Tart Incentive Award is Luis Espinoza Paul, a post-graduate student at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) in Lima, Peru. To read more about Mr. Espinoza Paul’s project, click the “About the Award” button above.

Should the award be reinstated application information will be available by clicking on the “Application” button above.
