ParaMOOC17 Starts January 16th 2017

As most of you know, for the past two years the Parapsychology Foundation has supported the free annual massively open online course (or MOOC), Parapsychology Research and Education. Organized with PF Research Fellows, Dr. Carlos S. Alvarado and Dr. Nancy L. Zingrone of the PF Member Organization, The Alvarado Zingrone Institute for Research and Education (known as The AZIRE), the ParaMOOC series brings together scientists and scholars who are studying psychic phenomena seriously, as well as working on related topics in consciousness and physics, among other disciplines.

The third iteration of this free series of courses, ParaMOOC17, beings on Monday January 16th at 2pm Eastern with the Opening Session on the social media teaching platform, WizIQ.com. The first week of the course will focus on introductory and overview lectures of the field for those who are unfamiliar with it.

Beginning on Monday January 23rd Dr. Edward F. Kelly of the Division of Perceptual Studies at the University of Virginia will kick off five weeks of guest lecturers from around the world. Enroll now to get all the content live, but enrollment is open throughout the course as well. And if you see one particular person you really want to hear on the schedule, sign up and just attend that lecture. We don’t mind! Our purpose is to give first hand experience with the active scientists and academics who are seriously investigating psychic phenomena as well as pondering the scientific implications of the phenomena, the experiences people report, and the meaning that experiencers draw from their experiences. Healing, consciousness, psychology, anthropology, and history are all represented in this course.

To sign up for this free course click on the course link and when prompted create a free learner’s account on WizIQ.com. If you aren’t taken directly to the course then come back to this page and copy the course link into your browser and you’ll be in! Click here to enroll.

On the Parapsychology Foundation YouTube Channel we have a video that introduces the course with all the relevant links to sign up available in the description below the video. Here’s the video!

Enrollment is open throughout the course and until the end of August. All the live sessions will be recorded and a variety of additional materials will be available as well such as PowerPoints, other videos, the chat logs from the live sessions and more! See you there!
